Triangle Time Quilt with Kimberly Creamer!

Join us on July 24th for an exciting quilting class at Millard Sewing Center, where you’ll master the art of cutting triangles and piecing to create a beautiful “Triangle Time” quilt. You’ll gain confidence in precision cutting, accurate piecing, and assembling a stunning quilt.

Class Project

During this event, you will focus on creating a quilt top using these materials:

• Triangle Time: Riley Blake’s Triangle Time pattern will be used during the class.
• Tall Triangle Ruler: Use Riley Blake’s triangle ruler to cut precise and uniform triangles.
• Best Press Starch: Using Starch, you’ll master aligning and pressing for perfect, matching points.
• Finished Size: You’ll leave with the knowledge to complete a 42.5″ x 50″ quilt.

Exclusive Techniques You’ll Learn

• Precision Triangle Cutting: Use the Tall Triangle Ruler to efficiently cut your fabric triangles, and maximize your fabric by rotating and measuring accurately.
• Fabric Preparation with Starch: Learn the benefits and application of Best Press starch for crisp, stable fabric, ensuring more accurate cuts and seams.
• Accurate Piecing: Master piecing and sewing skills while stitching perfect points and a consistent 1/4″ seam allowance along points and rows.
• Quilt Top Assembly: Understand how to lay out and assemble rows of triangles, alternating directions and pressing seams to complete a flat and beautiful quilt top.
• Long Lasting Knowledge: Discover how to incorporate these same skills making all your future projects or quilts accurate, clean, and perfect.

• Expert Instruction: Kimberly Creamer will provide step-by-step guidance, and everyone will be given the chance to have personalized assistance throughout the project.
• Dedicated Classroom Space: Enjoy a comfortable and well-lit workspace in our classroom at Millard Sewing Center in Oak View Mall.
• Pattern Guidance: Get the Triangle Time quilt pattern for free, and get excited as you’ll be walked through each step, making an intimidating project surprisingly easy!
• Classroom Supplies: Some of our classroom supplies such as Best Press starch and our cordless iron will be shared between members during the event.

What to bring: 

Fabric: 

• 1/4 yards of 6 printed fabrics.
• 1/4 yards of 6 plain fabrics

Sewing Machine: 

This is a “bring your own machine” event. We want you to be comfortable and confident on the machine you use every day! Pack up your favorite piecing machine, your thread, and your go-to tools. We’ll provide the table space, the power, and the expert help to make sure you don’t get stuck on a single stitch. 

Ensure you’re prepared by stopping in early to shop quality threads, cotton fabrics, and notions!
