It’s common for most of these machine to need a wiring redo at this point.  If the wiring is original then it’s probably crumbling, and if it has been redone, then it can be even worse in many cases. It’s time to give your classic a fresh start before it lights up your life in a way you don’t really want!

• Rewire of the motor leads
• Replacement of Grommet #727511 (parts included with service)
• Polish motor commutator
• Replacement of Oil Wicks #193526 (parts included with service)
• Replacement of  Motor Brushes #192457 (must be purchased separately) & Motor Brush Caps #193543 (must be purchased separately) if needed.
• Cleaned inside and out
• Return Shipping (included with service)

Optional Services:

• Light Rewire
  • Available for Singerlight #193294 (15-91), #195289 (15-125), or #193930 (201).  If you have a different light than original on the machine, please consult us prior to purchase. This is also a great time to replace your original light bulb.  We have a variety of options for these machines available.
• Lead Cord Rewire:
  • #194532 Single for cabinet models. Requires customer to purchase or provide #194533 and wall plug.
  • #194517 Double for portable models. Requires customer to purchase or provide #194521 and wall plug.
• Foot Control Rewire #194579
  • This is available for the original Singer #194584 Foot Controller (we suggest replacement of #194407-002 when using this controller) or a modern replacement.
• Bobbin Winder Spring Replacement
  • Free installation when your motor is in for any other service and you purchase either of the springs below:
    • Bobbin Winder Frame Spring #125365 (separate purchase)
    • Bobbin Winder Stop Latch Spring #15291 (separate purchase)

To Obtain Service:

Purchase your preferred package using this page.  Please include your desired wire color and style in the order notes.  Custom color requests are accepted but may slow down the process.  All motors are wired using the twisted wire.  Light, foot control, and lead cords can be wired using either the standard flat cable or the twisted cable your choice.
