This year we started branching out and heading out to quilt shows in the area, and we were excited to be a vendor at the Cottonwood Quilt Guild’s show. Cottonwood hosts their quilt show every other year, but this was the first show in four years, with the previous show being canceled due to Covid. We were blown away by the amazing quality of the quilts at this show. There was an incredible amount of skill and talent that went into the quilts on display, and it showed!
Our booth was situated in a cozy corner, where we worked on a quilt as you go ruler worked wall hanging.
One of our top favorites was the Beatles quilt, which featured the faces of the band, pieced in small squares.
And it was nice to see a few patterns that we sell in store, stitched out in different fabrics and colorways. We recognized Farmgirl Vintage, Exploding Hearts, Backyard Party and Atomic Starburst in the crowd.
We saw some incredible examples of applique quilts, in cotton and wool.
There was some amazing color use in the quilts at this show, and a lot of eye catching pops of color on dark backgrounds, Including this star quilt with flying geese:
