National Quilting Day 2023 Event

This year we were invited to partake in the National Quilting Day event by the Lincoln Quilters Guild that was held at the International Quilt Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska. We were amazed by the variety of quilts that were shown and at the incredible skills of the quilters who made them. The best part of this event was that it was held at the International Quilt Museum that has so many amazing exhibits of quilts from so many different eras. We literally were surrounded by quilts, quilts with history, stories to be told and to be shown.

We saw some familiar faces, and many new ones as well. This was our first time demoing the Janome Quilt Maker 15 and the Ruby Butler at a show. We also had a great time demoing ruler work with the Sew Steady rulers on the Elna and EverSewn Sewing Machines, getting people involved and trying it out. A lot of people really seemed to enjoy it and learn that it’s not hard to do. We showed off a little snippet of what the shop has to offer since we could not make any sales on the premises. Thanks to everyone who came out to make the show a success! We also wanted to say Thank You to Sew Steady and Aurifil for all of their help and, of course, Thank You to the Lincoln Quilter’s Guild for putting this event together!
