6 2/3″ Professional Shears Serrated Blade
The Kai 7170SE 6 2/3″ serrated scissors are an all-around, powerful cutting tool. The blade is made of a high-carbon stainless steel that ensures a sharp cut, all-the-way to the tip. The handles are made of “Elastomer”, a soft plastic, which are designed for better leverage and ease of handling while cutting. Serrated blades help grip the fabric on satin, silky, slippery fabrics. Excellent on cotton for cutting multiple layers of patchwork piecing, as well as for use on applique. Wool is also an ideal fabric for these scissors. Having the serrated teeth gives you more control, especially when turning and cutting simultaneously. The 7000 series scissors, including the 7170SE, are made of a high carbon, hardened stainless steel. The addition of carbon allows for a steeper cutting angle, giving the scissor a sharper, finer edge. The carbon also allows the finer edge to be more durable, which in-turn, extends the cutting life of these professional scissors.
