No matter the fabric, test for color fastness. Rub a small amount of Soak on an inconspicuous area. If color bleeds, take it to a professional cleaner. However, if only a small amount of excess dye drains and with no bleeding, then you’re good to go ahead!
For knitters, soak your swatches. After gently squeezing water out or using a gentle spin cycle, place your knitwear flat on a towel in a spot with good air circulation and dry both sides evenly. Measure your stitch count after the swatch has dried, as the stitches will relax and the block will grow in size.

For simple spot cleaning, use a small amount of Soak on a cotton swab. Gently rub the stain on the clothing piece with the swab, and rinse with cool water.
Hand washing is easy with Soak! Use a capful of Soak for each gallon of cool water, and soak your piece for 15 minutes or longer covered with the water. After your desired time has passed, gently squeeze the water from the piece. Roll the item in a dry towel, and lay the piece flat until it has completely dried.
Use Soak in both regular and high efficiency washing machines. One teaspoon of Soak per gallon in your washer does the trick. Add it just as you would a liquid laundry detergent, and run the machine on the delicate cycle. Use the rinse cycle, or skip it- your choice!
