New Store Hours
With a new location comes new store hours. We couldn’t see being in the mall and not being open when the mall is. While this is a bit of a shift from our previous hours, we think it’s a good compromise and hope that you all agree.
We are now open:
Monday-Thursday 10AM-7PM
Friday-Saturday 10AM-8PM
Sunday 11AM-6PM

New Products
We didn’t move all of this stuff and do all of this work just for a change of scenery. We needed more space to bring in more products, and we have started doing just that. The most noticeable change so far is the addition of a couple hundred bolts of Riley Blake’s Confetti Cottons Solid Fabric. Of course they aren’t alone, and there is plenty more new things to see in store, and even more on the way in.

New Opportunities
The other thing that we were hoping to gain from moving to a larger location was the chance to do more in the way of classes and in store events. We knew everyone would appreciate the ability to take advantage of year round “nice weather” and the food court during events. The first thing that everyone is asking about is open sew days. We are at a point now that we can start putting some dates together for this, so the question is what day is good for you?

Looks inviting…can’t wait to visit!
Where in Oakview Mall are you located?
We are located upstairs about halfway between the food court and Dillard’s. https://millardsewing.com/locations/msc/directions/
Do you offer classes on learning to sew.? I’m interested in tennis shorts, warm up pants, jeans for men.

Hi Tom,
Yes, we offer classes on learning to sew. This would be a good beginner pattern for men’s warm up pants and shorts: https://millardsewing.com/product/jal4348/. We offer one on one classes that are $50/hour. For something like this, I would plan for 2-3 class sessions, and you can book as you go. In the first class, we’ll go over reading the pattern, sizing, cutting out the pattern, following the suggested layout, and making sure your pattern is cut on the grain. For the second class session we will get started on construction. You can book sessions under the “First Project” sewing class, at http://www.millardsewing.com/book, or give us a call an we can get you booked.
