Welcome To The Darkside, But Only If You Want To

Some of you might have already noticed one of these icons now showing up in the bottom left hand corner on your scree. This switch will allow you change our website from it’s normal “Light Mode” into a “Dark Mode”. As someone who is about halfway between the day that I was diagnosed with rapidly growing cataracts in both eyes and the day of the first surgery, I was starting to find it very uncomfortable to look at that clean white background that I have always enjoyed in the past. This is what opened my eyes (pun absolutely intended) to the advantages of a Dark Mode. Some of the claimed benefits include less blue light exposure, less eye strain, better battery life on mobile devices and more. We’ve left the switch in to make it easier for everyone no matter what version they find more comfortable to use.
